Call to Arms!Veryan Players are hoping to make “Dad’s Army” their summer production in Portscatho this year, to be directed by John Heath. Probable dates are 30th and 31st July, 5th and 6th August. However this play has a huge cast, needing more men than women, speaking and non-speaking roles, and a lot of off stage helpers. Great fun to stage, but it can’t be done unless we get extra help. If you are prepared to don an army uniform, be a German U-boat commander or non-speaking crew member, help to paint scenery, or are a young woman interested in a small part as a waitress, please get in touch with John for an informal chat. Your country needs you!
