About Us
Welcome to the Roseland Badminton Club. We are a friendly social club of mixed ability with about fifty members. We play on Tuesday evenings, 7.30-9.30 pm in the Roseland Community School in Tregony during school term times only.
The aim of the club is to play and promote the sport of badminton in a friendly and fair manner. The club is open for local residents over the age of 13 years and new members of all standards, from beginners to advanced players are warmly welcome.
The sports hall has four excellent badminton courts, toilets, showers, changing rooms and a drinking water fountain. Parking is freely available.
We mainly play mixed doubles but singles games can be played.
Membership fees
The fees for each term (approximately 12 weeks) are £ 20 for junior players (13-18 years) and £ 40 for Adults. All players are encouraged to pay fees at the beginning of each term. This ensures membership, signals a commitment to the club and guarantees play on busy nights when attendance is high and the number of players might be restricted.
Players who can not commit to playing every week have the option to pay £ 2 for juniors and £ 4 for adults on the night. An additional ‘joining fee’ of £ 1 is payable at the beginning of the badminton season in September of each year.
All players are expected to abide to the club rules and to ensure the safety of others.
We have no formal dress code just suitable clothing and non marking sport shoes. Shuttle cocks are provided.
