Sports
Over the past 6 weeks we have been playing indoor golf or Tri-Golf. We have learnt lots of different skills. They have been chipping and putting and we learn them by playing games. One of the games is where you have to chip the ball onto a target. The ball has Velcro on it so that it sticks to the target. The closer to the middle you are the more points you score.
On Tuesday 9th Feb we visited The Roseland Sports Centre to join other teams from Roseland Primary Schools. We were mixed up in teams with names like Birdies, Eagles and Bunkers. The teams then played round 8 different games. Our favourite was the Grand National, where you had to chip the ball over a pole without knocking it off. We all had a great time.

Caerhays Castle
On Tuesday Years 5 and 6 went orienteering at Caerhays Castle. The day was bright and we were lucky that it wasn't too muddy underfoot. We had a great time tearing around the gardens, finding the check points and trying to beat one another's group.
There was one tricky moment when we had to walk through a herd of Highland Cattle to reach our starting point.
Orienteering is a sport where you use a map to find flags with numbers on. Then you punch a check card to show where you have been.
